Editing Drafts
Use the inline editor, rewrite tools, citation viewer, and version history to refine your draft.
Editing Drafts
Once your draft is generated, you can edit every section directly in the browser. This article covers the editor, AI rewrite tools, citations, and version history.
The inline editor
Click any section in the Draft view to open it in the rich-text editor. You can:
- Type and format text directly (bold, italic, lists, headings)
- Cut, copy, and paste from other documents
- Use
Tab/Shift+Tabto indent list items
All changes save automatically as you type. A green checkmark confirms the save.
AI Rewrite tools
Each section has a toolbar with rewrite options:
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| Improve | Rewrites for clarity and flow while keeping citations |
| Shorten | Condenses to a target word count |
| Expand | Adds detail using additional library evidence |
| Formal tone | Adjusts register for formal procurement language |
| Custom instruction | Enter your own rewrite prompt |
Rewrites are non-destructive — the original version is preserved in section history.
Viewing citations
Citations appear as superscript numbers inline in the text. Click a citation to open the Evidence Panel showing:
- The source library document
- The exact passage used
- Page number and upload date
Section version history
Click the clock icon on any section to view its full edit history. You can restore any previous version with one click.
Word count and limits
If the tender specifies a word limit, the section editor shows a live word count. The counter turns red when you approach or exceed the limit.
Sections you cannot edit
A few auto-generated sections (Compliance Matrix, Tender Summary) are read-only because they are derived directly from your requirements data. Edit the underlying requirements to update these.
